Kirtan and Sacred Song Nights – At Ruby Retreat from 7 pm to 8.30 pm on the 13th of June 2026
Connection, community, celebration and contentment!
Kirtan is yoga for the heart – it can powerfully uplift, ignite connection to ourselves, others and existence itself, and foster deep joy in our hearts.
We chant and sing a variety of sanskrit mantras, with kirtan style varying from slow and meditative to upbeat and celebratory. Our combined voices are supported and ornamented with the harmonium, mrdanga or tabla drums and other gentle percussion instruments.
Whilst we honour and acknowledge the origin and meaning of the mantras, the sessions are non-denominational and intended to connect the participants at a human and universal level.
To support community and connection, you are welcome to stay a while afterwards to enjoy a cup of chai with likeminded people.
$10 Recommended donation.
All donations go toward grazing, feed and medical care for our small herd of ahimsa cows.
Facilitated by Rati and Balarama, bhakti yogis and long-time kirtan practitioners of 20+ years
