I have realised, both in my own journey and through working as a counsellor/therapist, that deep healing doesn’t usually happen in isolation. While I work with individuals, couples, and families, I see each person as part of a wider system of relationships. Our experiences/life transitions, families, communities, and nervous systems all shape who we are, and I believe that understanding these connections is an important part of lasting change and growth.
My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and relationship-centred. I draw from family systems therapy, attachment theory, somatic approaches, mindfulness, and neuroscience to help people understand not just what is happening in their lives, but why. I hope to create a safe, compassionate space where we can slow down, make sense of our experiences, and begin moving towards a life and relationships that are in alignment with your highest good.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most powerful tools for healing. When people feel genuinely accepted, listened to, and understood, they often discover strengths and possibilities they didn’t know they had.
I don’t believe that therapy has to feel clinical. My hope is that you’ll feel comfortable enough to be yourself, knowing there’s no judgement and no expectation to have everything figured out.
Professionally, I am committed to ongoing learning and development. I continue to study and deepen my understanding of relationships, inner and outer family systems, trauma, addiction, and the nervous system. I have a particular interest in the effects of narcissism, family dysfunction, developmental trauma, and intergenerational patterns, and how these influence our sense of self and our relationships throughout life.
Above all, I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and healing when they are met with compassion, safety, and the right support.
My fee is $100 per session, but my aim is to make mental healthcare and therapy accessible and achievable for everyone. If this fee is not manageable for you, please feel free to get in touch with me.
I do my counselling therapy in Nelson, specifically in Ruby Bay. If a face-to-face session is not possible for you, I also offer online consultations.
Here is an online booking link if you’d like to book a session and see whether I’m the right person to walk alongside you on your healing and processing journey. In alternative, you can send fill in the contact form below and share with me what you need support with.
